Anyway, here's a little something that I was graciously granted permission to post by the person who commissioned it.
For the people who've been asking about the status of Eversummer Eve and wondering if it's ever going to restart, the answer is...yes, sort of, but not as such.
That told you everything you needed to know, right?
Essentially I realized the story was meandering off into directions that weren't the story I'd originally intended to tell, and it was looking like it was going to spiral out of control. So, having been inspired by the webcomic "Drowtales"'s successful re-imagining of itself into a new and much better form, I'm doing the same for "Eversummer Eve". Some of the characters (like Alasdair) will stay essentially the same. Others will undergo minor changes, while others will change radically as I tighten and redefine the story concepts. The story concept itself will hopefully be new enough to not be a simple repeat of what I've already done, but will keep the feel of the old Eversummer Eve story. At least, that's the goal.
Overall, so far I'm pleased with the revamp, and I hope everyone else will be too.
I've no idea yet when I'll be able to start posting it. I'm still working out the revised foundations of the story, never mind getting started on actually drawing it. But hopefully it'll be in the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled!
