The Creatrix (renamed from 'The Empress'

The Shishigami, a personification of the cycle of life in nature, stands ascendant in a sunlit glade deep in the forest. Where the Shishigami steps, flowers bloom in abundance. Where the Shishigami presides uncontested, nature flourishes in its primal, unfettered glory. In the foreground three kodama kick back in happy contentment, a testament to the healthy way this forest is flourishing.

The Shishigami and kodama are, of course, from Hayao Miyazaki's most excellent epic movie "Mononoke Hime". Somehow it didn't seem quite right to call a gender-neutral god of the forest an 'Empress' however, so I've renamed this card 'The Creatrix' - still gender-touched, but not quite so...blatant.


I think to date this is the card I'm happiest with the way it turned out. I certainly learned a lot about painting trees while doing this one!
